In the last week I've developed repetitive stress injuries in both wrists/hands/forearms. It sucks. So, I'm majorly limiting my computer time for the next...little while.
... How does that feel? Because I've been playing Assassin's Creed 3 for almost three days straight (sleep and food are for the weak) and my hands/forearms feel achy and stiff and so on, which they've never done before.
It feels more like soreness? It's mostly on my inner wrists and forearms, and also on my fingers and elbows of one arm. But it can be more of a sharp pain when I try to grip something or if I'm on the computer very long. It gets worse throughout the day, too. It sounds like you should rest and stretch too!
Yeah, sounds like what I have a bit, only I don't have much sharp pain, as long as I don't do anything very strenous like picking up my coat. Typing is a problem, though, because a short comment is about everything I manage until my hands are shaking and refuse to work.
A good time to catch up on watching series, I think.
Ack, take it easy! That happened to me during dissertation writing (or rather, it was more my fingers than my wrists), and I still have problems 8 years later. /o\
Oh, that's horrible! Yikes. I'm hoping I can nip this in the bud by resting and switching to more ergonomic set-ups both at work and home (and stopping working on my laptop entirely), but I know there's already some damage ... we'll see.
I'm also doing almost no vidding, which sucks, because I'm really excited about vidding right now! And I have two deadlines two months from now.
Yeah, I agree. It'll definitely be better in the long run if I take as much care as I can. But yeah, I'm mentally preparing myself for this to be an ongoing problem, and hoping I can just minimize it as much as possible.

Unfortunately, now that you've had it once you're more likely to get it in the future. :(
I guess that's my rec to actually do any exercises they recommend and rest and such. Even if it suck.
