Xena or Person of Interest?

parcequelle requested Xena, so I will attempt PoI. However, a major caveat: I stopped watching the show early/mid S3, only watched it once, and haven't watched any episodes at all since 2014. So my memory is poor and my viewing incomplete!

the character I least understand
John Reese. I mean, in some ways his motivations are very clear. But I found Jim Caviezel's performance incredibly flat, and I don't know if it was because Reese is supposed to be totally emotionally non-demonstrative or...?

interactions I enjoyed the most
ROOT/SHAW. My first (only?) hateship. They are so good.

the character who scares me the most
Definitely Root, though that was starting to change by the time I stopped watching, and might have even more if I'd continued.

the character who is most like me
Lol, none. I guess maybe Finch? I would like to say Carter, because I loved her dearly, but she is a lot tougher than me and also a lot more idealistic about her job and the world than I am.

hottest looking character
I guess Reese, in a pretty standard view of hotness. I like Finch's nerdy hotness.

one thing I dislike about my fave character
I was kind of astounded about how naive Carter was shown to be in the flashbacks of her time as an interrogator in Iraq. I think that someone in her role would need to either very clearly and cynically understand the purpose of the US occupation, and have an "I'm just doing my job" mindset, or they'd be hella racist. (Or both, really.) She was neither.

one thing I like about my hated character
I don't remember hating a character. I remember being pretty put off by Reese and slowly warming up to him at least a little, but...that's about all.

a quote or scene that haunts me
Haunts isn't the right word, but Root's reveal was fucking awesome. (And horrible -- she shoots some well-meaning person in the head if I remember correctly.)

a death that left me indifferent
None that I can remember.

a character I wish died but didn’t
I'm sure if I remembered the show well, I'd have a better answer, but I don't, so I don't. If one NYPD cop had to die, I'd sure prefer it was Fusco to Carter.

my ship that never sailed
It remains unclear to me how much Root/Shaw sailed. I think they became a pretty solid ship? But then Root died, right? That is not my vision of their ship.
