This was such a good follow-up on Connie's training with Pearl. I was glad to see it's ongoing! Connie and Steven's dorky early-adolescent sense of humor was sweet as usual. And of course lacking the cruelty I remember often undergirds adolescent humor.
The forced fusions were upsetting. They were probably gems who fought alongside Rose, Garnet, and Pearl. They may have been their friends. The show is pretty clearly on a trajectory where Steven -- maybe with the help of others? -- will be able to heal them. But it's still painful to watch.
Also, I feel more and more like the people who speculate that Jasper is a forced fusion are wrong. Jasper is nothing like the forced fusions we've seen so far.
Oh Connie. She makes me smile.
