vid submission deadlines in 2015

A working from home day turned into "I have inspiration -- vid now and work later!" And it's a good thing too -- I'm taking stock of potential con submission deadlines. Here's what I have so far:

 - Escapade: 15 February

 - Club Vivid: late April or early May

 - Wiscon and VidUKon: early May

 - VVC challenge: late May

 - VVC premieres: mid/late June

It's highly unlikely I'll make all these, but some of my vid plans should line up. I've never submitted to Escapade before but my latest project seems good for it, so the deadline is great for motivation.

The list is very piled up in the first half of the year. Are there later events that I'm forgetting?

BTW all the dates except Escapade are extrapolated from past years; I haven't found any info about 2015 deadlines for Wiscon, VidUKon, or VVC.

We've not confirmed the dates for VidUKon yet, because it's influenced by things like printing timelines for the DVDs (and our efforts to beg people to produce premieres) but I think you're in the right area, and I'm delighted to see that you're hoping to make a vid for us :)

I've got a vid ready to serve as a premiere if needs be (first time I've ever been prepared in advance) but someone convinced me over the New Year that a song I was looking at vidding was definitely something that should be used to make a vid about male strippers, so...

Glad to know I was in the ballpark -- vidUkon is my top priority in terms of submissions. I just love it so much.

A male strippers vid sounds like an excellent premiere choice. :)

You might be surprised how nice it is to hear that people love the con :) I struggle and fret and flap with everyone else, waiting for things to go wrong and swearing too much, and wory about loads of odd things, and yet it always feels better to know that there's love for the con out there :)

I just discovered while attempting to post screwing up the VidUKon news page that the Premieres date had been set - I just hadn't mentally registered it. The deadline for Premieres is April 27th, although my gut instinct is that there might be a few days flex in the deadline if someone's notified in advance - but I didn't say that ;)

Thank you for the encouragement!! I'm definitely excited about submitting this vid to Escapade, and I'm almost finished clipping so the deadline should be no problem unless my RSIs flare up.
