Once Upon a Time: I kind of loved everything about Regina.  Lana Parilla knocked every scene out of the park.  Wow!  And I have so much more sympathy for the random guy in town now. 

I was kind of meh about everything about Snow.  I really would prefer to see Snow just try and deal with what she's done and move on.  Because Rumple might say that it's "telling yourself you did the right thing", but it's patently obvious that she didn't do the wrong thing.  Basically: this whole thing about Snow having such a pure heart doesn't work for me.  It would have been a lot more interesting if, instead of being completely incapacitated by guilt, Snow had found that she could live with what she'd done.  And then that could have lead Regina to the same conclusion, that Snow had "darkened" herself.  Whether she'd be right or not would still be up for debate, but the getting there would have felt a lot more authentic to me.   

And Henry continues to grate on me even though that's probably not entirely fair.

We got a bit of Ruby, which is better than no Ruby!  And Gran, and Cricket.  I miss seeing the townspeople and exploring their lives.  Especially Ruby and Gran. 

I liked last week's Parks and Rec.  I really enjoyed the humor and character interactions, especially Ann and April*.  It felt sort of back to old form?  Though I miss squealing with joy at, like, everything Leslie does.  I like Leslie and Ben and definitely actively shipped them (my ship buttons are apparently so vanilla that they're too boring for most TV characters), but I also never wanted the show to be overtaken by their relationship, especially some dumb "will they won't they" storyline.  So I'm glad they they're settled down together and everyone can just move on.

Watching Tom was particularly funny for me because, in the time since the last episode, I've watched a couple of Aziz Ansari's stand up routines, and I will never see his face the same way again.  The bailout story was a bit much, but I liked the video store owner.  And Brandi Maxx always makes me giggle, even if normally such a character wouldn't really work for me. 

My main concern is the way this sperm donation storyline is developing.  I am fine with Ann doing this, but I was genuinely baffled, then worried, by Chris's interpretation.  He viewed donating his sperm as becoming a father, like he would be parenting this kid alongside Ann.  But as far as I recall, Ann never said that, and that's not how I generally view sperm donation going.    This is a big deal!  And now it's bothering me that they never discussed it, and it will either become a serious conflict later on, or the show will just never address it.

*Except, do the writers really not know that you need a bachelor's degree before you go to vet school?

I think we're supposed to assume that April graduated from college at some point? She started out as a 19-year-old intern, and it's now, what, four or five years later? Unless she dropped out and I'm forgetting a reference to it (although I can't imagine Leslie letting her drop out).

Agreed on the Ann/Chris thing. I'm assuming it's going to come up as a misunderstanding to be worked out at some point, because this show doesn't usually drop the ball like that. (I actually sort of expect it's going to end up with Ann and Chris getting back together at some point, so maybe he WILL be parenting the kid, but I don't think Ann is planning on that right now.)

Oh, I guess I never realized April was in college in the first place. I probably just forgot.

Good point that the show doesn't usually drop the ball on things. I think I'm too mistrustful of shows sometimes! I'm always expecting them to disappoint me, heh.

ETA: yeah, it does seem like a trajectory toward getting Ann and Chris back together. Which I'm fine with in the abstract, but I do wish Ann would spend more time with Leslie! I miss their fun together.

Heh, I remembered that she was an intern, but I had to look up her age to see if she'd have graduated by now. :)

And yeah, agreed on wanting more Leslie/Ann BFF time. I'll settle for Ann/April, though, because that was hilarious.

OMG, white russians, which Sex & the City character are you, matching hairdos? I loved that Ann took the opportunity to torment April a bit! I agree with April though: "Time After Time" is an amazing song. :D

I love just about everything Parks has done with the Leslie/Ben storyline.

The Ann-Chris sperm donor thing puzzled me too, and I do hope they bring up the issue openly.

Same here on both counts. I should probably give the show the benefit of the doubt, as it's been quite a lot better than most sitcoms with that sort of thing.
