Snowflake Challenge: Day 9

snowflake_challenge Day 9: In your own space, create a fanwork. A drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. A picspam. Something. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I started the day with a (likely) diagnosis of whooping cough.  Fun fact: the "whooping" is the sound you make when you've coughed all the air out of your lungs and you're gasping for breath.  Also: turns out vaccinations don't always work.

So, finally convinced that I Really Am Sick, I went home and spent the afternoon in bed practicing icon-making.  Here's what I got!  A few of these are ideas I got from other icons I've seen, though I don't remember where.  If anyone is the original maker and is offended or wants credit, please let me know.

Thanks! And yes, it is fun! I'd like to eventually learn how people do things with textures and backgrounds, but for now I'm happy to learn how to brighten and sharpen images and get the coloring looking decent. And it's gratifying how quick it is -- so much simpler than vidding!
