frayadjacent: peach to blue gradient with the silouette of a conifer tree (Orphan Black: Sarah and Helena)

More Orphan Black posts have crossed my dash in the last 24 hours than all of Season 3 previously. And I'm writing one too!

I loved this episode. It was the first this season that made me want to continue, made me sad there was no more to watch. I feel like my show is back!! I was getting worried there, and losing interest fast.

Have some bullet points:

 - Helena eating the voice that raised her to be a monster, and coming back for her Sestra. God, I love those two. I almost cried at the end when Helena joins Sarah in the tunnel. Plus: I see a second roadtrip for the twins on the horizon!

 - Felix's very intense and uncomfortable interrogation of Rachel. I'm glad he's taking some action, even if tormenting Rachel was wrong and also completely ineffective. I hope there's some momentum there -- maybe Felix and Siobhan will rescue Sarah and Helena. OMG, a roadtrip with those four is basically my Orphan Black dream.

 - Cosima's interactions with Gracie, and their conversation about Gracie's now-infertility. It was well-handled. I like Gracie so much! I kinda want her and Mark to get together in the end, though then again she is so young and seems really excited to see and experience the world right now. So maybe Mark can wait.

 - Sarah's visions of Beth were so poignant. It honestly never occurred to me that Sarah would feel like she failed Beth, but as soon as she said it I understood. Even if there's no way should could have stopped her from jumping. Sarah's come so far, changed so much. She's still a grifter -- part of why I kinda like her relationship with Cal is that it's totally unclear where the manipulation ends and the real feelings begin, and I'm not sure Sarah knows either. But she's changed, and her reflections on Beth made that clear.

 - I was really pleased with Paul's exit. Not by the fact that he's dead -- though I'm not particuarly sad about it -- but by its execution. I especially liked that he mutinied and died for a cause much bigger than loving Sarah. That even though he's not exactly a paragon of moral decision-making, he had a line, and once it was crossed he took action. And probably went a long way toward stopping it. Good on him.

A few minor things I didn't love:

 - Um, I seem to be the only one out there who was a little annoyed by the Alison & Donny twerking scene. I mean, it kinda made me laugh, and it is highly gif-able, but it was a bit much for me. *shrug*

 - This is more relevant to an episode or two ago than this one, but I can't stand Cosima's new love interest. Basically she dropped from neutral to negative infinity with her very first line (paraphrasing: "um are you sure you're a scientist cause you seem too pretty") and nothing she's done has elevated her much from there. Also there's the thing where she is probably a monitor.
