I'm still vidding on the same iMac and FCE that I've used for years and I FEAR upgrading because of a learning curve. I want to vid, not learn a new program. *sigh 2018 will be the year I think. I'm starting to have trouble with source material matching my settings and rendering and all sorts of things.
I really admire your plans to vid your id and return to that which might have a smaller audience but is something YOU want. I made a vid in 2017 that was just for vidding (aka, for myself) and not for an exchange, etc. and it'd been so long that I'd done that I'd forgotten how freeing it is. I didn't have to fuss overly much (like you, sometimes I post when it's good enough or I'm tired of looking at it) and I knew I wouldn't be letting anyone down and I rewatch it with fondness and don't even care about the flaws.
