Two fandom/VVC questions

 1. Do club vivid vids need to premiere at VividCon?  Or can they be old or nearly-new?

 2. What does hurt/comfort mean?  In the context of, e.g., a warning or content notes on fic?

hurt/comfort means that the story tends to include a dose of one character being very damaged - physically or emotionally or both - while the other spends a lot of time trying to comfort and heal them.

CVV plays a mix of old and new vids at the con, but I don't think you submit old vids - I think the old vids are selected by the VJ, who is usually Absolute Destiny. For new vids, he puts up a post a few months in advance and asks people what songs they want to use for CVV vids. If he approves your song choice (the goal is mostly to make sure they're danceable and not a duplicate of someone else's choice), then you make a vid and submit it by the due date.

All true, but also: Absolute Destiny welcomes recs of old or non-premiering vids to use in Club Vivid.

Here's the Fanlore page on hurt/comfort, if that's helpful.

My memory is that Club Vivid is made up of a combination of existing / older dance vids, plus some vids which premiere at the con itself. (The ones which are brand-new are usually preceded by a "Club Vivid Premiere!" graphic.)
